Johnny Depp will not appear in any further Pirates of the Caribbean films, according to reports.

Speaking to DailyMail TV, original screenwriter Stuart Beattie nodded when it was suggested Depp’s time as the star of the series was over.

reddit user leafinferno pointed to a discussion between Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and Asgardian doctor Eir (Alice Krige). Jane is examined in what she identifies as a “quantum field generator” that “transfer[s] molecular energy from one place to another”. Eir tells her that the Asgardians called it a “Soul Forge”.

The exchange indicates that quantum fields and souls may have some sort of connection (not to mention that the machine’s energy is orange – like the Soul Stone. And like the lights spotted in Ant-Man and The Wasp).

Loganair, a regional airline, charges £21 for a round trip, or $27. Meanwhile, a Singapore-New York round trip in December 2018 starts at about 4,100 Singapore dollars or $2,968—which is about 110 times more expensive.

SIX THINGS WE LEARNED FROM THE DARK PHOENIX TRAILER

we finally have a proper look at next February’s Dark Phoenix. With its ominous cover of “The End” and apocalyptic imagery, the trailer seems to be making a very pointed comment about the future of the X-Men film series at 20th Century Fox. Both Dark Phoenix and next August’s The New Mutants could very easily be the last pictures in the series that Fox initiated with 2000’s X-Men. And if that is the case, Dark Phoenix – which dropped “X-Men” from its title – appears ready to send the whole enterprise off on a very dark note.

But that darkness represents only one thing we learned from the trailer – here are six more tantalizing notes from Dark Phoenix.

FRANKLY GREAT UNIFORMS

It only took seven films in the mainline X-Men series for the main team to finally adopt the traditional gold X-Men uniforms – Xavier’s (James McAvoy) 1960s team used the look in X-Men: First Class – and boy do they look smart. The large golden X over the chests recalls the uniforms designed by artist Frank Quitely for writer Grant Morrison’s run on the series in the early 2000s. Both wanted to take the characters back to their boarding-school roots and created a collegiate fashion line with the bold X-motif jackets tying the whole aesthetic together.

Here, they replace the more individualized uniforms glimpsed at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse. It would seem Xavier either wants to recall happier days with Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) or he wants to corral the group into a more unified frame of mind. Considering the movie X-Men have a habit of splintering, it is unlikely the uniforms will stop it from happening again, especially considering some of the subsequent images in the trailer.

That said, Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), and Mystique look great in the new gear.

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF

Despite fundamentally altering the universe in X-Men: Days of Future Past, it seems Charles Xavier could not stop himself from making one fundamental mistake: altering Jean Grey (Sophie Tuner) as a child. In both the trailer and X-Men: The Last Stand, a young Jean Grey already possessed tremendous telekinetic abilities. And, in both cases, Professor X used his considerable telepathic talents to prevent her from accessing her full potential.

In The Last Stand, those powers proved to be advantageous to Magneto, but this time around, it appears the mysterious character played by Jessica Chastain will lead Jean toward the path of the Dark Phoenix. Also, it seems the Phoenix Force will finds its way to Jean via that untapped potential which Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) glimpsed briefly in the previous film.

Then again, the trailer also makes the case that Jean was just born bad. As Magneto puts it: she “came here for permission” to let loose. But how much of that is Jean and how much of it is the Phoenix inside her?

THE WORLD IS ONE THE BRINK (AGAIN)

It wouldn’t be an X-Men movie without the world facing some sort of annihilation. In previous films, that threat was presented by Magento, who tried to turn senators into mutants, unleash an all-out war between humans and mutants, and even nuke Washington D.C. to start his revolution. He also allied with Apocalypse that one time, but he was more of a lackey in that situation than the mastermind of destruction.

This time, the threat will be external as aliens finally make their way into an X-Men film.

At first, it might seem strange to introduce aliens into the mix, but the X-Men have a long history with various cosmic factions back in the comics. The original Dark Phoenix Saga featured the Shi’ar Empire as they attempted to put Jean on trial for the Phoenix Force’s crimes. We seriously doubt we’ll see Jean destroy a planet of broccoli people – one of the more infamous moments in the comics – but an extraterrestrial threat changes the scope of X-Men pictures.

Curiously, Dark Phoenix represents the same move away from the civil rights struggle to world-ending threats the X-Men books experienced in the 1990s. Of course, the pendulum often swings back to the struggle and one imagines it will again when Marvel Studios takes control.

BEAST SWITCHES SIDES

Late in the trailer, as Xavier says “don’t do this,” a brief shot reveals Beast has finally changed sides and joined Magneto. We also see Hank in his non-animal form blaming Xavier for another mistake. This reckoning between the three characters has been a long time coming. Beast was a member of the original X-Men team in the 1960s – and he seems to have aged hardly day in the 30 years between First Class and Dark Phoenix – and caught up in the initial struggle between Charles and Erik’s philosophy. But it seems this time, enough is enough for The Beast.

“You’re always sorry, Charles,” Magneto says at one point. It seems to be a sentiment finally shared by Hank if that scene in the kitchen is anything to go by. We imagine something significant will push Hank to the breaking point. And considering the film’s ties back to First Class, it may revolve around the other remaining character from that film. (More on that in a moment)

It is always possible these three old friends will make peace before the end. It’s been known to happen in X-Men films before and it could be memorable reconciliation, particularly if this really is the end of the film series.

MAGNETO NEVER FINDS PEACE

Despite an earnest attempt to walk away from violence and discord after X-Men: Days of Future Past, it seems Erik Lehnsherr can never find peace. This time around, we see him in some sort of camp away from thoughts of Brotherhoods and working with Sabertooth, but he always keeps that trusty helmet close by. Throughout the series, it has come to represent the character’s anger and his separation from Xavier – indeed, the notion that it can block Charles’s telepathic scans is one of the most prominent holdovers from the first X-Men film – but in its few glimpses in the new trailer, it seems to also represent the life Magneto wishes he could leave locked in an old chest.

But violence is baked into the X-Men premise and Magento’s way of life. Perhaps he, more than Jean, needed to reason to take up the helmet and fight again. And, it seems, Jean gave him one.

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT CASKET

This may constitute a spoiler, so tread carefully.

We repeat: Potential Spoiler Alert.

The prominent use of funeral footage and a casket suggests someone other than Jean Grey will die in the film. And we’re betting it will happen shortly after the film begins.

In the pages of Uncanny X-Men, Jean unequivocally died during a mission into space. She eventually returned when the Phoenix Force took possession of her body. The official description of Dark Phoenix states she survives the mission. So if Jean isn’t in the casket glimpsed in the trailer, who is it?

Our guess is it’s Mystique based on that shot of Beast cradling her. But if this is the end, it could be just about anyone. Well, maybe not Cyclops. They already tried that in The Last Stand and it didn’t work.

Nonetheless, the funereal tone of the whole trailer suggests Fox made a calculated decision to present this as a memorial for nearly twenty years of X-Men pictures. Even if the shots are from late in the film and Jean is in that casket, the X-Men as we’ve known them may also lay to rest beside her.

Dark Phoenix is in theaters February 14, 2019

Director Jonathan Levine (50/50, Warm Bodies) had a bit of a misstep with last year’s Snatched, but this comedy may earn him more accolades. Seth Rogen stars as an unemployed journalist who attempts to woo his childhood babysitter, a powerful political figure played by Charlize Theron. Alexander Skarsgård, Bob Odenkirk, Andy Serkis, and O’Shea Jackson Jr. round out the star-studded cast.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019)

Director Aaron Schneider (Get Low) won an Oscar for Best Live Action Short back in 2003.

Have you seen one with Rey from Star Wars and Spider-man?” Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow, American Made) directs this big-screen version of the sci-fi novel about a young man living in a colony on another planet who believes all women have been killed by a virus until he meets a mysterious girl who may hold the key to the planet’s secrets. Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley star, with Mads Mikkelsen, Demián Bichir, David Oyelowo, and Cynthia Erivo in supporting roles.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (2019)

When Hiccup’s dragon Toothless encounters a potential mate and a new threat bears down on Berk, however, the two of them embark on a journey to magical hidden world (natch) in order to save their way of life.

Indie co-directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck take the helm as Captain Marvel becomes Marvel’s first female superhero to get her own solo movie.

Plot details are still few and far between at this point, but we know that Jordan Peele is writing and directing another thriller as a follow-up to his 2017 smash hit Get Out. It will star Lupita Nyong’o, Elizabeth Moss, and Black Panther‘s Winston Duke among others, which already makes this sound like a really promising project.

One of three Disney movies getting the live-action treatment in 2019 (if you count The Lion King), this remake of the 1941 animated classic marries the tale of a uniquely gifted circus elephant with the directorial stylings of Tim Burton. 1 1/4   cups milk
1/3   cup butter, melted
3   whole eggs
1/2   cup shaved semisweet chocolate baking bar

Frosting
1   jar (7 oz) Kraft™ Jet-Puffed™ marshmallow crème (1 1/2 cups)
1   cup butter, softened
1/2   teaspoon vanilla
1 to 2   tablespoons milk
2 1/4   cups powdered sugar
1/4   cup shaved semisweet chocolate baking bar

3 tablespoons shaved semisweet chocolate baking bar

Steps

Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Spray bottoms and sides of 2 (8-inch) round cake pans with cooking spray.

In large bowl, beat cake mix, 1 1/4 cups milk, 1/3 cup melted butter and the whole eggs with electric mixer on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in 1/2 cup shaved chocolate until just blended. Divide evenly between pans.

Bake 28 to 32 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; run metal spatula around edge of pans to loosen cakes. Remove from pans to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

In large bowl, beat marshmallow creme, 1 cup softened butter, the vanilla and 1 tablespoon of the milk with electric mixer on medium speed until blended. Beat in powdered sugar until fluffy. If necessary, beat in more milk, a few drops at a time, until thin enough to spread. Stir in 1/4 cup shaved chocolate until just blended.

Place one cake layer on serving plate. Spread 3/4 cup frosting on top layer; top with second cake layer. Frost side and top of cake with remaining frosting. Sprinkle on top of cake, and press up side of cake the remaining 3 tablespoons shaved chocolate.

Sharing screen time with this version’s floppy-eared, big-eyed flying elephant are Colin Farrell as a one-armed war vet who takes the animal under his care and Michael Keaton as a nefarious businessman who hopes to exploit Dumbo in his circus. Other cast members include Eva Green as a French trapeze artist who works at the circus and Alan Arkin as a Wall Street fat cat.

After looking at pandas in Born in China and snow leopards in Ghost of the Mountains, the documentary vertical Disneynature is dusting off its tuxedo and would like to formally introduce us to Steve, an Adélie penguin looking for love. While a narrator has yet to be announced, it’s probably a safe bet that the film’s audience will be treated to a familiar voice. Tina Fey, Daveed Diggs, James Earl Jones, and Antoine Fuqua have narrated past films from Disneynature. Perhaps Morgan Freeman’s free? He likes working with penguins.

Rotten Tomatoes’ Erik Amaya speculates that this might mean it’s time for Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), who were spared, to put their feud on pause and work together to save the world. And it may result in Cap leaving the group or – gasp – being killed off. But who knows? The Marvel Cinematic Universe loves to drag out its plots with twists and tangents that rival a weekday soap opera.

Mena Massoud from Amazon’s Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan stars as the titular unlikely hero who is smitten with the princess Jasmine (Power Rangers’ Naomi Scott). While many of the musical elements from the first film are said to remain, it’s reported that the story will be told in a non-linear style.

This cast also might be the most A-list of the bunch. Not only does Donald Glover star as the lion prince Simba, but Beyoncé voices his love interest Nala and Chiwetel Ejiofor plays his plotting uncle, Scar. One carry-over from the original? James Earl Jones reprises his role as Simba’s dad, Mufasa.

The cast also includes Judi Dench, Hong Chau, and Josh Gad as the kleptomaniac dwarf, Mulch Diggums. The story is based on the first novel in Irish author Eoin Colfer’s eight-part book series, because it would be very unlike Disney to miss a chance at a franchise.

Following the path that Pirates of the Caribbean charted so successfully — and The Haunted Mansion charted less successfully — this new film (franchise?) is based on the Disney theme park attraction of the same name. Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt star, respectively, as a riverboat captain and a scientist on a hunt for a magical cure in this Depression-era action adventure. Comedian Jack Whitehall also joins in the fun, playing Blunt’s character’s brother (watch for more of him – he’s also in Disney’s November 2018 film, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms).

Much of the plot and other details for this film are under wraps, but one has to wonder where the story can go now that Idina Menzel’s ice queen Elsa has learned to, well, chill out. Perhaps she’ll even do what some fans have been asking for for awhile and get herself a girlfriend.

The cast, which is almost as long as the text in an opening crawl, also added newcomers to the franchise like Keri Russell and Richard E. Grant. The late Carrie Fisher will also be seen, thanks to the repurposing of unused footage from past films.

Taking a page from the Maleficent playbook, this new film plans to look at Disney classic 101 Dalmatians from the view behind villain Cruella de Vil’s dark sunglasses. While it’s been reported that Emma Stone is starring, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna co-wrote the script and Broadway’s Alex Timbers was set to direct, more details – as they say – are spotty.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Everything about a third installment of the Guardians section of the MCU seemed good to go and the film was heading for a 2020 release date. Then writer-director James Gunn was fired when some of his old and not-so-politically-correct Tweets surfaced and his leads wrote an open letter in support of him – causing some to wonder if Disney should just do an epic recast. Now there’s word that Disney still plans to use Gunn’s script and that the film’s delay may also impact the release of the new Avengers movie. Sigh. All speculation of course. As Rocket Raccoon might say, you just want to suck the joy out of everything.

Lady and the Tramp — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Starring: Tessa Thompson, Justin Theroux, Ashley Jensen

This live-action remake seems to be nudging the proverbial meatball closer and closer to a release date, where it will also premiere on Disney’s streaming service. The Leftovers’ Justin Theroux will voice Tramp while Thor: Ragnarok’s Tessa Thompson will voice his leading Lady.

Noelle — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Starring: Anna Kendrick, Bill Hader, Billy Eichner, Shirley MacLaine, Julie Hagerty

Anna Kendrick as Santa’s daughter, Noelle Claus? And Bill Hader as his son? The gift-giving season may come early for families who like fantasy adventure comedies. The catch? Said families have to have Disney’s soon-to-launch streaming service, as the film’s theatrical release has been frozen. Bah humbug.

Here’s another comedy awaiting a home on Disney’s streaming service. This one stars Workaholics and Pitch Perfect’s Adam DeVine as a former counselor at a magic camp who returns to his old stomping grounds in the hopes of reigniting his career. Instead, he finds a bunch of kids who need a mentor.

The Sword in the Stone — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Another live-action version of an animated Disney favorite, this film is also awaiting a release date on Disney’s streaming platform. Last we heard, 28 Weeks Later… director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo was directing the film based on Game of Thrones writer Bryan Cogman’s script. It was also reported that production began this fall in Belfast, Ireland.

Starring: Willem Dafoe

The Florida Project’s Willem Dafoe will star as dog sled racer Leonhard Seppala in this live-action film. Based on a true story, it covers a 1925 relay to transport diphtheria antitoxin serum to an Alaskan town suffering an outbreak and is not to be confused with Balto, the 1995 film about the other dog (and his owner) in that race. Togo will also eventually be part of Disney’s streaming service library.

What We Know: Brie Larson stars as Carol Danvers, a 1990s-era fighter pilot who also happens to be a part-Kree member of the empire’s Starforce unit. Initially under the command of Jude Law’s still unnamed character – though most believe he is playing Mar-Vell, the first Marvel character known as Captain Marvel – and working with Minn-Erva (Gema Chan), Korath the Pursuer (Djimon Hounsou), and Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace), a possible invasion by the Skrulls brings her back home to Earth. There, she meets a still two-eyed Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and catches up with old Air Force pal Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch).

How It Fits in the MCU: Briefly teased at the end of Infinity War, Captain Marvel is known to former S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), who returns as a full co-star in the MCU prequel. Clark Gregg also reprises his role as Agent Phillip J. Coulson, as do Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou, who return as their Guardians of the Galaxy characters Ronan the Accuser and Korath the Pursuer. The film will also presumably explain why Fury kept Marvel in reserve for nearly 30 years and why the Skrulls have not appeared in any modern MCU film.

What We Think Might Happen: Following the Snap that eliminated half of all life in the universe, Captain America and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) will presumably have to work past their issues and unite the remaining heroes on Earth and in space to make one last stand against Thanos (Josh Brolin) and restore the lives he took at the end of Infinity War. Presumably, Captain Marvel and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) will have prominent roles.

How It Fits in the MCU: Despite Infinity War’s marketing, this is the film everything has been leading up to since Iron Man. In the grand tradition of event comic-book crossover storylines, long-standing issues will be resolved, some will make supreme sacrifices, and Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will quip about feeling better. But since the MCU has mastered the structure of the ongoing comic book storyline pioneered by Marvel Comics in the 1960s, the film will also introduce the Phase 4 theme, if not its principle antagonist.

SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

What We Think Might Happen: According to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, the film will be our “first taste” of the Phase 4, post-Avengers 4 MCU. What this really means for Spidey (Holland) is difficult to say. Will he go back to Queens after experiencing life and death on Titan? (Given the Holland recently revealed the title could be Spider-Man: Far From Home, we suspect he won’t spend much time in his bedroom.) Will he be content to fight bad guys like Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine) or Scorpion (Michael Mando) after glimpsing the infinite stars? With Jake Gyllenhaal in talks to play Mysterio, and word that Michael Keaton will return as Adrian Toomes, it is possible Spider-Man will finally face some version of the Sinister Six — a supergroup of villains dedicated to Spidey’s destruction — on screen? If nothing else, it must resolve how Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) dealt with her nephew being Spider-Man. Also, the latest reports indicate Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders will appear as Nick Fury and Maria Hill, suggesting Peter may some extra supervision wherever he ends up.

How It Fits in the MCU: Now a full-fledged Avenger, Peter may be able to call upon the expertise of others to aid him in his fight with the as-yet unrevealed antagonist. Maybe he and Shuri (Letitia Wright) will become friends. And now that we know Mysterio will appear, it is possible he will stage some sort of alien incursion like the character (retroactively) staged in Amazing Spider-Man #2, causing some to believe the Chitauri or Thanos have returned.

IN DEVELOPMENT

Despite their legendary veil of secrecy, Marvel Studios has acknowledged a handful of films are currently in development. Some seem certain while others await a good script. With nine(!) release dates reserved for unannounced films between the Spider-Man sequel’s 2019 release and July of 2022, it is only a matter of time before some of these projects slot into those dates. Here are the untitled releases, and what we think they may be.

UNTITLED MARVEL MOVIE 1

OUR GUESS: BLACK PANTHER 2 — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: May 1, 2020

What We Think Might Happen: Depending on the outcome of Infinity War, the film might very well center around Shuri, Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), and Okoye (Danai Gurira), which would suit director Ryan Coogler’s intentions just fine. Recently, he said a film about the women of Wakanda would be a great endeavor. Although, his comments were directed toward a spinoff of Black Panther and not necessarily a sequel. Presuming King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) returns from the dust, a sequel would no doubt follow up on his decision to let the world know more about Wakanda, with M’Baku (Winston Duke) either firming up his ties to the King or attempting to take the throne for himself.

How It Fits in the MCU: Since Captain America: Civil War, T’Challa has been a popular figure in fan circles, but the stunning success of Black Panther suggests there will be more Wakanda throughout the MCU. As mentioned above, Shuri and Peter Parker could be fast friends, while the embassies and outreach programs T’Challa proposed at the end of Black Panther open for business in other films.

UNTITLED MARVEL MOVIE 2

OUR GUESS: ETERNALS — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: July 31, 2020

What We Know: In April of 2018, Feige revealed a film based on the Eternals comic book and concept is in development. The project appears to be on the fast track now that The Rider’s Chloe Zhao has agreed to direct the film. Based on characters and situations imagined by Jack Kirby, the Eternals are a race of fantastically powerful proto-humans engineered by the Celestials (more on them in a moment) to harness vast amounts of “cosmic energy.” Generations of infighting and wars against another Celestial experiment, the Deviants, followed. According to reports, the film will center on an Eternal named Sersi with the powers of flight, strength, immortality, and molecular manipulation.

How It Fits in the MCU: Because the Eternals and the Celestials are old and powerful — the Celestials are some of the oldest creatures in the universe — they run into just about everyone. When the Kree happened to learn about the Eternals, they tried duplicating the Celestial experiment and created Inhumans on Earth. In Marvel’s 616 universe, Thanos is himself related to the Eternals thanks to their colonization of Titan in the distant past. Meanwhile, the Celestials have already appeared in passing during both Guardians films. In the first film, one appears in a hologram during The Collector’s (Benicio Del Toro) explanation of the Power Stone. And in the second film, Peter Quill’s (Chris Pratt) father Ego (Kurt Russell) self-identified as a Celestial. Whether or not this means Ziran the Tester will feature in Eternals or any other MCU film remains to be seen.

OUR GUESS: CAPTAIN MARVEL 2 — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: November 6, 2020

What We Think Might Happen: Because of the first Captain Marvel film’s late Phase 3 placement, some believe the film will also set up an ongoing Phase 4 thread while introducing Carol to the world. The sequel could continue to play on the tensions between the Kree and the Skrulls – a war famously covered in the pages of The Avengers. Beyond that, Carol may have to return to Earth and explain why she disappeared 30 years ago and has, presumably, not aged a day.

How It Fits in the MCU: The ongoing thread that some speculate may occur in Phase 4 is the MCU take on the 2008 Marvel Comics event storyline Secret Invasion, in which characters like Elektra were replaced by Skrulls at some previous point in time to aid their long-term invasion plans and foil Earth’s secret elite. If Marvel Studios uses this concept, Captain Marvel could be key in weeding out of the Skrulls thanks to her Kree powers.

OUR GUESS: BLACK WIDOW — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: May 7, 2021

What We Think Might Happen: First revealed in January with Jac Schaeffer writing the script, Black Widow could revolve around Natasha Romanov’s (Scarlett Johansson) origins as a deep cover Russian operative and the organization which trained her. Her flashbacks in Avengers: Age of Ultron allude to the trauma of those days. Alternatively, it could revolve around what she does when not minding the Avengers on their silly adventures. Or it could just be her own spy adventure, something the character excels at. In any event, the film will be directed by Lore’s Cate Shortland, who signed on to direct in mid-July.

How It Fits in the MCU: Setting aside her long-standing friendships with the marquee Avengers, her training ties back to ideas explored in the short-lived Marvel television series, Agent Carter, in which a Soviet-trained deep cover agent is assigned to eliminate Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). Investigating the operative, Peggy discovers the brutal facility charged with creating these sleeper agents using methods teased in Black Widow’s Ultron flashbacks. Perhaps Peggy was involved in turning Nat from the left-over Soviet agency to the side of S.H.I.E.L.D. – an idea which could be explored in the potential film.

OUR GUESS: MS. MARVEL — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: July 31, 2021

What We Think Might Happen: Feige also recently revealed an appearance by Ms. Marvel is in the works. Created by Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, G. Willow Wilson, and Adrian Alphona in 2013, Kamala Khan is a Pakistani teenager living in New Jersey who admires the exploits of Captain Marvel when a Terrigen bomb activates her Inhuman cells, turning her into a shape-shifter with increased strength and other skills. When asked about the character making the leap to the MCU, Feige said plans were “definitely” in the works to introduce her into the universe. It is unclear if this means she would be introduced in Captain Marvel 2 or her own film, but Feige said it was important for Captain Marvel to be firmly established before they can introduce Ms. Marvel.

How It Fits in the MCU: Besides the connection to Captain Marvel, Kamala’s Inhuman DNA links her back to the Kree, the Celestials, and the Inhumans. The latter concept is on shaky ground with the failure of Marvel’s Inhumans television show and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. moving away from an Inhuman emphasis. But Ms. Marvel might be the best person to reintroduce the concept into the MCU with a strong fan following to buoy her once Marvel is ready to commit to making her a live-action star.

UNKNOWN: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 3 — Full Movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

What We Think Might Happen: Despite plans for the third “volume” in the film series to both follow the Spider-Man sequel and introduce more of the cosmic themes in Phase 4, the film’s future is in doubt now that the project is on indefinite hold following the termination of director James Gunn. In June, Gunn claimed he finished a draft of the script, but it is unclear if Marvel was ready to give it the green light before Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn fired him. In August, the skeleton crew doing preliminary pre-production work were let go and told to find other projects – a definite sign a third Guardians film will not emerge from its troubles any time soon.

How It Fits in the MCU: At this point, it is impossible to say. The characters may spread out across other MCU series – Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth), for instance, could continue their love affair in another Thor film – in order to fulfill the actors’ contracts. Considering the original Guardians of the Galaxy comic book series took place 1000 years in the future, it could return completely revamped using that premise. Whatever else happens, though, do not expect to ever learn the songs contained in the Awesome Mix Vol. 3.

Of course, any of the films lacking a release date could shift in the schedule. Inhumans was once meant to be a Phase 3 feature before Marvel and Sony agreed to share Spider-Man. Black Panther and Captain Marvel also shifted their release dates to accommodate the web-head’s MCU debut. Additionally, a Runaways film was once in development, but fell off the schedule as Phase 2 plans firmed up. Nonetheless, this roadmap is the beginning of Marvel Studios’ continued march into space and box office domination in the decade to come, keep your subscribe on cuckoo channel and you will watch more.

Aquaman TV Spot Features New Footage Of Arthur & Mera on cuckoo player

Warner Bros. Pictures releases the first TV spot for James Wan’s Aquaman movie, which reveals new footage of Arthur Curry, Mera, and more. The studio is gearing up to make their final marketing push for Aquaman – their only live-action DC movie releasing in 2018 after The Flash movie suffered numerous delays behind the scenes (and got hit with yet another production setback just recently). In addition to continuing the story that left off with 2017’s Justice League, there’s a lot riding on the movie to turn the DC movie universe around.

Starring Jason Momoa as the eponymous character and Amber Heard as Mera, the Aquaman movie follows the duo as they search for King Atlan’s Trident, so that Arthur may become the rightful ruler of Atlantis and, therefore, overthrow his brother, King Orm (Patrick Wilson), by using the Trident’s power to command the seven seas. While bits of information regarding the plot has been revealed through various marketing materials (including two trailers, though the last one was just an extended version of the first), viewers can always rely on TV spots to shed more light on a film.

Coming a little over one week after WB released a five-minute Aquaman trailer over New York Comic Con weekend, the studio debuted the first Aquaman trailer, which contains footage from past trailers as well as some new footage, including some snippets of Arthur and Mera. In this first TV spot, it’s clear that the studio is continuing their efforts to capitalize on the movie’s humor, such as the bit in the beginning of the promo when Arthur tells the bar’s patrons that he’s actually Fishman, thus in keeping with the ongoing joke that he can talk to fish. This level of humor is especially noteworthy coming off the heels of routine criticisms from audiences and critics alike that DCEU movies are too dark (among other things). What’s more, viewers can see Arthur and Mera having a more heartfelt conversation about his duties becoming a king and hero rather than Momoa constantly throwing out one-liners. There’s also the last snippet of footage at the end of the promo, showing a close-up of Arthur on the submarine.

This new TV spot is just the first in what will surely be a series of promos, which audiences will start to see more of as the movie’s December release date nears. And considering that Wan has denied rumors of WB cutting 20 minutes from Aquaman, there should be plenty of footage to tease that, hopefully, won’t give away too much of the plot.

Do you agree Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson Signed on for 7 MCU Movies?

When actors sign up to do Marvel movies, it usually means they are in it for the long-haul as their deals extend multiple projects. That’s why when a report surfaced revealing Brie Larson had signed a seven-picture deal with Marvel, it wasn’t considered a surprise. However, the Captain Marvel actor came out and shot down the report, saying it was not true.

The original report revealed that Brie Larson had landed an impressive $5 million payday for her first Marvel outing in next year’s Captain Marvel, an impressive feat as Marvel doesn’t normally pay first-time outings that much. In order to nab the impressive payday, Larson reportedly signed a seven-picture deal with Marvel, connecting her at the hip with the massively popular franchise.

Once the news broke, a Marvel focused Twitter account parlayed the news, which is when Brie Larson responded to the tweet denying the report.

This means a number of things. First, with Larson shooting down the report, it may be that her deal isn’t actually for seven movies but for a number that’s lower. That being said, that doesn’t mean she won’t possibly be in as many as seven MCU movies. Captain Marvel is being positioned as a major Marvel pillar to take up the mantle left by Captain America, who is possibly on his way out. These characters usually have a long run within the MCU. Before his run ends in Avengers 4, Chris Evans will have appeared in seven MCU movies.

It’s important to keep in mind that that wasn’t on a single contract. He resigned with the studio mid-way through his run, as have many other actors have. On the other side of the coin, aside from Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson is the best established actor to join the MCU with an Oscar win already in her name, meaning that she doesn’t necessarily need to be involved with the franchise to continue to have a successful career, hence her shorter deal.

Regardless, for however long Brie Larson is signed up to appear as Captain Marvel, she will check two of those movies off in 2019 with Captain Marvel and Avengers 4.

What makes a good pizza? Ask anyone and they’ll probably tell you the same sort of thing. A crisp, flavorful crust is an absolute must. The cheese should be completely melted and well-distributed. The toppings, naturally, should be of the highest quality. Greasy is bad. Doughy is bad. Burnt is a disaster. Those are the core tenets of a really decent pizza, and they’re not exactly complicated — but it’s often surprising how many places can get it wrong.

A good pizza place should, as some matter of priority, serve good pizza. That’s the criteria we’re focusing on with these rankings, although other factors (such as value for money or the company’s own ethical record) are also likely to make a mark on the list. From the heavyweight names, to the up-and-coming chains, to the stalwarts of American pizza-making, these are the very best and the very worst of what the country has to offer. Papa John’s is one corner of the Great Triumvirate of delivery pizza chains. Unfortunately, “great” is taking the definition here of “prominent,” not of “tasty.” The menu itself is decent enough: You’ve got all the classics (margherita, veggie, sausage and pepperoni; that kind of thing) but the only dishes that could really be considered inventive just come across as a little bizarre. Hawaiian BBQ chicken? Tropical luau? Spinach Alfredo? Really?

Look, just take it from us — never trust your pizza with someone who refers to themselves as “Papa.” The biggest problem with Papa Murphy’s pizzas (aside from the fact that you have to bake them yourself), is the crust. Their “Signature” range of pizzas come on a crust thinner than a B-movie plot. Their Gourmet Delite pizzas, which, according to the restaurant, are “sophisticated recipes,” come on a “crispy thin crust” which practically defies the laws of physics. But hey! That’s not a stuffed crust pizza, by the way, that’s a pizza that is entirely stuffed.
The Neapolitans would freak. Why must our only options be gluttony or starvation? Pizzas which don’t snap in half when they’re picked up and pizzas which aren’t literally bursting at the seams are not mutually exclusive. Find the middle ground, Papa Murphy’s.

Ready for some controversy? Great, here it is: Deep dish pizza is not pizza. It’s pie. Our full apologies to the people of Chicago, because they take this sort of thing incredibly seriously for some reason, but it’s true. Nothing that could ever feasibly be mistaken for a birthday cake has any right to call itself a pizza.
With that out of the way, let’s move on to Uno Pizzeria & Grill, the chain that invented the deep dish pizza. They might take center stage on the restaurant’s menu and Uno does seem to enjoy making a big deal about how great they are, but — as we’ve established already — they’re not actually pizzas, and so do not qualify for a prime spot on this list. Let’s look at their thin crust options instead then, which, honestly, aren’t too bad as far as the major chains go. Not a lot on offer, unfortunately, but they taste relatively decent (looking at you here, John) and the crusts are at least perceptible to the human eye (looking at you here, Murphy).

Little Caesar’s is a heavyweight pizza chain, no doubt about that. It’s just a shame the pizzas are so lightweight. The sauce they use is actually kind of great, but the dough is chewy and the cheese is nothing special. More than that, though, is the sense of unease that comes too often with eating a Little Caesar’s pizza — the nagging voice at the back of your head which keeps telling you that you could be eating something better. We’re not sure what causes it (rooted in a certain je ne sais meh, perhaps) but it’s always there. Remember that episode of The Simpsons where Bart and Homer set up a business selling grease to pretty much anyone who’ll take it? Well, that’s basically Domino’s. The second corner of the Great Triumvirate, Domino’s has carved out an incredibly comfortable place for themselves in the American pizza industry since their foundation in 1960. Unfortunately, their pizza doesn’t quite match their reputation.
The toppings are great — we’ll give them that. There are plenty of them on offer too, which comes in handy if you’re opting for a create-your-own shindig instead of one of the pre-made items. Beyond that, though, there’s not a lot going for them. The garlic-seasoned crust makes a hell of a mess, the edges are never quite crispy enough, and the things are just drenched in grease. Now, that’s all fine and dandy if you’re looking for a quick-fix indulgence after a night on the town — in fact, few chains do comfort pizza better — but it’s just no good the rest of the time. Nobody likes a soggy slice.

At last, we come to the final corner of the Great Triumvirate — and by far the best. Pizza Hut is the best chain pizza you’re going to get that’s still not quite really good pizza. There are loads of choices on the menu, the toppings aren’t too shabby, the crust is alright, and the cheese tends to be gooier and smoother than that found at their biggest rivals. What’s more, Pizza Hut’s stuffed crust pizzas are the only gluttonous indulgence we’re going to make any time for on this list because, if we’re being completely honest, they are actually a really good idea. So sue us.
We’re not exactly in Pizza Valhalla yet, sadly — Pizza Hut’s grease factor is a little high and the pizzas, just like those at Papa John’s and Domino’s, still tend to be massively overpriced — but things are certainly starting to look up.

Pieology is basically Subway for pizza. You walk in and customize your pizza from start to finish at the counter. Everything — crust, sauce, cheese, meats, toppings, and “After-Bake” sauces — is fully customizable. The choice on offer is nothing short of spectacular: five crusts, seven sauces, six cheeses and a long, long list of meats and toppings means that pretty much the only way to make your pizza more personal is to make the whole thing yourself.

California Pizza Kitchen, self-professed inventors of the BBQ chicken pizza, have long been the restaurant of choice for anyone who wants the comfort of a major chain without any of the self-loathing that follows after buying from one. Their range of pizzas is nothing if not ambitious: shrimp scampi, steak, wild mushrooms and Thai chicken all feature on their own pizzas, but what makes CPK’s options infinitely more appealing than some of the “innovative” dishes we’ve already seen from — for example — Papa John’s, is the quality of the ingredients used.
It’s much easier to stomach the idea of a club chicken pizza when you’re looking at toppings that include applewood smoked bacon, avocado, wild arugula, torn basil, and Romaine, tossed in lemon-pepper mayo. Spider-Man: Far From Home—Spidey’s Awesome New Suit Revealed

Spider-Man is going to get yet another suit upgrade in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

It has been well established in Spider-Man’s short tenure in the MCU that he will have a revolving door of suits. He wore a simplified version of his own creation in Captain America: Civil War before Tony Stark Jr. hooked him up with the high tech suit in Spider-Man: Homecoming. That was quickly replaced by the super high tech Iron Spider suit he wore in Avengers: Infinity War.

A new set video reveals that he will exchange the Iron Spider suit for a new red and black suit in his next standalone movie Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Over the last couple weeks, talk about Spidey wearing a new suit solidified with a leaked set photo that had him wearing an all-black stealth suit. But that isn’t the only new suit he is set to debut in Far From Home. The new red and black suit will also be included in the movie and we must say, it looks pretty badass.

The red and black look seems very strange on Peter Parker. We’re more accustomed to his classic red and blue suits or other variants that completely change his look, like the symbiote suit he wore in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3, but this new look adds a hint of covertness to the classic suit.

In the clip, Spider-Man is swinging away with MJ (Zendaya) through some wire work. It’s a really short clip and you’ll have to pause it midway to confirm that the suit is indeed black and not a dark shade of blue, but it is black.

Top Ten Common Mistakes Made In Exams

Exams can be daunting so if you’ve got one coming up whenever, take these tips from me about the most common mistakes and how to avoid them. I’ve been through this as well so I know about these mistakes. I haven’t made them all but that doesn’t mean that I don’t know them.

1. Attempting the question before reading it thoroughly

I’ve done this before… So you see a question which looks so easy, you blaze through it thinking you’ll get all the marks and then when you reach the end you check through your answers and think what the hell have I done here? That’s not what the question said at all!

2. Leaving a question blank

This is the number one no-no of an exam. NEVER leave a question blank. If you do, you’ve thrown away those marks and for what? At least if you tried you might have gotten one of those marks… But leaving the question blank isn’t going to get you anywhere.

3. A lack of time management

Make sure to have time at the end of the exam to look back at your answers. Make sure to not spend too much time on a question. Utilise the time given in the exam to give yourself the most efficient method of answering the questions. Keep a balance between speed and carefulness.

4. Accidentally picking the wrong answer in a multiple choice question

Make sure to look which answer you’re choosing to avoid the mistake of picking “C” instead of “B” for example. Checking your answers after may help you find these little but costly mistakes.

5. Not reviewing your answers

What does santa do after making his list? He checks it twice, just like you should once finishing all the questions. If you don’t check your answers over, who knows what mistakes you’ve made? You never know, you might have missed a whole page because they stuck together… Trust me, this has happened to me.

6. Too much revision

Too much is just as bad as not revising at all. If you revise too long it may turn you into a procrastinator or a perfectionist and whilst you’ve been spending so much time on the first two questions trying to perfect them, you’ve only done 2 out of 15 of the questions and used up half the time already.

7. Overthinking a question

You look at a question, answer it and then think something doesn’t look right. Sometimes it might be that you haven’t read the question properly so in that case read it properly and answer the question. Other times it may be the exam panic getting to you and it makes you think that you answered a question wrong when you didn’t. This leads to the overthinking and retraction of correct answers for the inclusion of wrong ones.

8. Not knowing the meaning of key words

By this I mean the “Explain” questions especially. Many people just describe for an explain question and pick up only 1 or 2 of the marks when there’s 6 available. For an Explain question use PEE. (I have no idea why it’s called that) Make a point, point out some evidence to support the point and then add an explanation for why this is the case. It’s that easy but we all fall into the trap of key words.

9. Not putting your name on the exam

And finally we have this failure. If you do this, all that effort you’ve put into the questions is probably going to go to waste because that invigilator who marks the exam papers doesn’t know you just by your handwriting. Even if your handwriting is as bad as mine, the invigilator will still not know and you will fail because you made this stupid mistake.

10. Bad spelling and grammar

Unlike past iterations, the Pixel 3 XL seems to have grown up to its full potential. Everything You Should Know About ‘The Game Of Thrones’ Books

If you’re a show-only fan of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, you might not be aware of what’s in the books that inspired the show: the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin. If that’s the case, you also may not be aware of exactly how much the show has diverged from the plot of the books—sometimes in quite extreme ways. Here’s a primer on the books and how they differ from the series, along with some other Westerosi writings that Martin has penned over the years.

A Game of Thrones
The first book in the series, was released in 1996. The story chronicles the events beginning with the death of former Hand of the King Jon Arryn and concluding with the death of Ned Stark. HBO adapted the novel for the first season of Game of Thrones, and the showrunners stayed pretty faithful to the source material—with a few exceptions. Notably, all of the child or teen characters have been aged up by several years. For example, in the novel, Daenerys is only 13 when she marries Khal Drogo, while in the show she’s 16.
We learn of Robert’s many bastards in this book, but the series has left out several of these characters, like Edric Storm and Mya Stone. On the flip side, the show added some interesting new faces that don’t exist in the book—like Ros, who eventually becomes Littlefinger’s assistant in his brothel. Tyrion also got shafted a bit on the series when it shows him being knocked out before a battle—in the books, Tyrion gives a speech to his men and leads them into battle, eventually defeating a knight himself.

A Clash of Kings
the second book in the series, was released in 1998. The television show’s second season is based primarily on this book, and it covers the events surrounding the start of the War of Five Kings and ends with the sacking of Winterfell by Theon Greyjoy (and its subsequent burning by Ramsay Bolton). Like the first season, the TV show stayed relatively faithful to the book in season two, but there were some differences, including a few major ones which add newly invented scenes or backstory to characters.
Bronn was given a much larger role in the TV series than in the books, advancing to take the post of Commander of the City Watch. During the Battle of the Blackwater, Bronn is shown firing a flaming arrow into the ship filled with wildfire, which never happened in the books. The show also left out the large chain boom Tyrion had made in order to trap the ships in Blackwater Bay. The warlock Pyat Pree is given additional powers on the show and an added plotline where he steals Daenerys’ dragons.
Xaro Xhoan Daxos is implied to be attracted only to men in the books, while he lusts after Daenerys in the show. Additionally, the relationship between Loras and Renly is only hinted at in the books, never openly shown; similarly, the romance between Robb Stark and Talisa (Jeyne Westerling in the books) all happens offscreen in the novels.

A Storm of Swords
In 2000, A Storm of Swords was published. Because so much happens in this book, the TV series split it into two seasons, ending season three with the Red Wedding and Daenerys’ sacking of Yunkai. Season four covers the rest of the novel, ending with the battle between the Night’s Watch and the Wildlings. It’s during these seasons that the show starts to diverge more heavily from the books.
Theon’s imprisonment is introduced much earlier on the show than in the books. Gendry is merged with the book character of Edric Storm and taken to Dragonstone in his place. In the books, Robb legitimizes Jon Snow and names him his heir before the Red Wedding. Additionally, Robb’s wife is neither pregnant nor present at the Red Wedding. Tyrion and Sansa don’t have a friendly relationship after their wedding, and Shae never loved Tyrion as the show implies. The Hound and Arya never encounter Brienne; Brienne and Pod are actually tracking a rumor about Sansa, not her younger sister. Stannis and his wife never had any stillborn children, and neither of them are affectionate (or even speak directly) to Shireen in the books. The relationship between Davos and Shireen is also inflated significantly for the show. Finally, in perhaps the biggest divergence from the novels, the resurrected Lady Stoneheart (Catelyn Stark) never appears on the show to take over the leadership of the Brotherhood without Banners.

A Feast for Crows
A Feast for Crows was published in 2005. It, along with parts of A Dance with Dragons, make up the plot of season five in Game of Thrones. Plotlines continue to significantly diverge throughout this season. The prophecy of the valonqar is left out of the show’s version of Cersei’s flashback. The show never explores Tyrion’s depression over his first wife, Tysha. Varys doesn’t accompany Tyrion on his journey. Tyrion travels with a group of characters (including a secret “Aegon Targaryen”) who don’t appear in the show. Jorah and Tyrion never go near Valyria, and Jorah is never infected with greyscale. The two also never meet up with Daenerys before she disappears.
Jaime never goes to Dorne, and the Sand Snakes kidnap Myrcella, gravely injuring her in the process. Doran and Trystane Martell are never murdered. Loras is never imprisoned, and is later mortally wounded on Dragonstone. Margaery is arrested for accusations of adultery, and Lancel never joins the Sparrows. Sansa never marries Ramsay Bolton; she remains in the Vale. Jeyne Poole is disguised as Arya and married to him instead. Mance Rayder never actually dies, and Melisandre never asks Stannis to burn Shireen (although it’s confirmed this will happen in a later book.) Brienne never encounters or kills Stannis, either. The entire battle of Hardhome takes place offscreen, and there’s no “Night King” leading the White Walkers. Olly doesn’t exist, and Alliser Thorne wasn’t present during Jon’s assassination.

A Dance with Dragons
A Dance with Dragons came out in 2011, but at this point, much of the show hardly resembles the books. A major portion of season six’s material was invented for the show, which at this point has moved beyond the novels. Myrcella and Tommen are still alive. Brienne and Podrick never go to the Wall. Varys is in hiding, while Jorah and Tyrion become sellswords. None of them have any part in the governance of Meereen. Jaime remains in the Riverlands and ignores letters from Cersei; he’s learned of her sleeping with other men and loathes her now. Jaime and Bronn aren’t buddies, and Jaime disappears after being lured away by Brienne and Lady Stoneheart. Tommen never speaks with the High Sparrow, joins the Faith, or outlaws trial by combat. Cersei awaits her trial and never blows up the Sept of Baelor.
Arya never adds Walder Frey to her death list, and hasn’t returned to Westeros. Osha and Rickon are never kidnapped by the Umbers or murdered by Ramsay Bolton. Bran never sees Hodor’s origin story, the White Walker origin story, or the Tower of Joy battle in his visions. There’s no attack on the cave, and Hodor and Summer are still alive. Benjen Stark’s whereabouts are still unknown. Jon hasn’t been resurrected (yet), and there hasn’t been a “Battle of the Bastards.” Theon and Asha never steal Euron’s fleet or cross the sea to meet Daenerys. Daenerys hasn’t yet returned to Meereen, let alone sailed for Westeros.

There are two planned books remaining in the A Song of Ice and Fire series: The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring. Martin is currently working on writing The Winds of Winter, and hasn’t made any concrete promises regarding when it’ll be done. This, of course, has disgruntled many dedicated readers of the novels, who want to know what happens next and aren’t satisfied with HBO’s telling of the tale. Until then, they’ll just have to be make do with whatever David Benioff and D.B. Weiss can come up with during the final two seasons of the show.

5 Tricks You Need to Know to Master the iPhone

The iPhone has been around for over a decade now, yet somehow it feels like it’s been around for even longer. It controls nearly every aspect of our lives, from work to social media, and as such, we’ve spent a lot of time with it. That amount of usage may make it seem like we know everything about the iPhone, when in fact, there are a few little-known tricks that could make using the phone infinitely easier.

I shuffled through my iPhone usage and found five tricks that I use on a daily basis and they make my life a lot easier. Keep in mind that some of these tricks may seem quite elementary, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t people out there who have no idea these tricks exist. Some of them will prove to be useful to you while others may not fancy your attention and that’s completely fine.

Here are five tricks you need to know to master the iPhone. I will make this video and share it to my cuckoo channel.

Email keyboard shortcut

You’ve probably heard of adding shortcuts through the keyboard, but never thought twice about actually using them. I definitely didn’t until I decided to take advantage of the trick because I was tired of typing in long email addresses. I use multiple email accounts on my phone and am constantly signing in and out.

With the keyboard shortcuts, instead of typing out the whole email address, it is now available to me through three short letters. I used the shortcut “gml” to write out my Gmail address and vice versa for other accounts. Now any time I need to fill out my email, I just type in the three-letter shortcut and save myself a lot of time.

To add keyboard shortcuts, go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement.

Control center customization

With iOS 11, Apple introduced the ability to add extra controls to Control Center. Previously, it only came with eight default options like the flashlight and camera that you couldn’t change, but now you actually can add as many as you want including some very useful ones.

Adding additional controls will purely vary on your preference. I added Wallet, Voice Memos and Apple TV remote among others. Instead of shuffling through folders to find these apps when I need to use them, I can just go to Control Center and access them quickly. To add these extra controls, go to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls.

Password manager autofill

If you don’t use a password manager by now, I don’t know how you function. There are so many passwords to keep track of, it’s nearly impossible to remember them unless you are using the same password, which I highly warn against. However, the process of using a password manager in iOS 12 became even more convenient with the addition of password autofill.

Using a password manager like 1Password, you can turn on autofill and whenever you log into an account through an app or web browser, the password autofill function will instantly come up on the keyboard and autofill the password for you. It erases the annoyance of having to remember the password or jumping out of the app and into the password manager to retrieve the password.

To activate password autofill, go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Autofill Passwords and select your password manager of choice.

Swipe up to close apps

This one might seem like a no-brainer, but it’s actually changed recently and many users may not know of the new function. Before iOS 12, to close apps on an iPhone X (and now XS, XS Max and XR), you had to press and hold on an app in the multitasking menu until a little minus button appeared to let you close out apps.

Thankfully, Apple took away the needless extra step with its most recent update and now you can just begin swiping up to close out apps in the multitasking menu.

Siri Shortcuts

One of the major new features Apple introduced with iOS 12 is the Shortcuts app. We’ve talked about it before, and if you haven’t downloaded the Shortcut app and added some shortcuts, you definitely should. The shortcuts range from something simple like calculating the tip to something more complex like turning on your smart lights as soon as you get home.

Some of the shortcuts can get quite complicated, but just start small and you’ll be on your way to creating the right shortcuts that work best for you. Apple makes the process easier by suggesting multiple shortcuts.

The 2019 biggest movies you will watch on cuckoo

2019 is shaping up to be a massive year for blockbusters, with many high-stakes, big-budget flicks set to hit cinemas worldwide. Included in the upcoming roster are monster movies, animated adventures, and of course, a heck of a lot of superhero fare. But for all their artistic differences, these films share one thing in common: they’re all carrying the full weight of Hollywood on their shoulders. Entire franchises hang in the balance with some of these upcoming movies, the reception of which will determine the fates of studio projects for years to come. Will the Worlds of DC’s first comedy be a course-corrector for the faltering franchise? Can Disney restore balance to the Force? Avengers 4

Avengers 4 has just about everything to prove, and that’s not hyperbole. First and foremost, it has to provide a satisfying conclusion to one of the most jarring cinematic cliffhangers of all time. Effectively undoing “the snap” in a way that will please hundreds of millions of fans is no small undertaking, after all. The film also has studio pressure to outperform Avengers: Infinity War, the culmination of a decade’s worth of storytelling and the proud owner of a $2 billion haul at the box office. Who knows what Marvel will do get more butts in seats than they did for Infinity War, but what’s for certain is that the marketing team for Avengers 4 has a mountain of expectations to climb.

And, of course, this movie is going to pave the way for the rest of the MCU moving forward. In that sense, Disney has tens of billions of dollars riding on its success. Will Kevin Feige’s massive, property-spanning vision pan out according to plan? Can Disney outdo its previous box office behemoth? Will Avengers 4 be a satisfying finale to Infinity War?

Shazam

The DCEU has had an uneven go of it thus far, but a turnaround could be just over the horizon. After the Jason Momoa-led Aquaman, the studio has Shazam coming out, and hoo boy, does it look like a gem. Its trailer’s humor is smart, wacky, and just a little bit tacky — the perfect blend for a memorable comedy. Its tone appears to be consistent and, based off of what we’ve seen, the people behind the movie seem committed to making this a light, fun superhero adventure with a real soul.

Shazam’s trailer shows off a handful of heartfelt moments that touch on the intersection between superheroics and physical disabilities. And while brotherly friendship might be the heart that underpins the story, we’ve also seen that Shazam cares just as much about making viewers laugh as it does about telling a meaningful story. All the actors seem invested in their roles, the direction looks superb — all around, Shazam looks like the movie that might just see DC superhero cinema starting to gain some ground on the MCU. Fingers crossed!

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is Marvel’s big shot at showing it can match DC’s Wonder Woman. If the studio fails, it’ll be tough for the studio to come back from — they’re planning to make this character the center of the MCU, after all.

That’s an awful lot of responsibility for a hero who’s never been mentioned by name in the franchise thus far, and although they’ve certainly got star power in the title role — Brie Larson took home an Oscar for her work in Room not that long ago — it isn’t unreasonable to argue that Captain Marvel is, in its own way, just as big a gamble as Avengers 4. Marvel’s made billions at the box office with gambles that occasionally seemed outlandish at the time, but this picture is a cornerstone of the post-Infinity War MCU, and it’s bearing more weight than most of the studio’s releases. We’ve learned not to bet against the company that made movie stars out of a foul-mouthed raccoon and a tree-shaped alien, but still — if Captain Marvel tumbles, it could have a major ripple effect on everything that follows.

Toy Story 4

Toy Story 4 might just be the biggest risk Pixar has ever taken. The formerly sequel-averse studio has expanded a number of its hits into franchises, but going beyond a trilogy — and with the series that started filmgoers’ love affair with Pixar in the first place — has a lot of potential downside. Unless this long-gestating fourth installment can somehow bring back the old crew in a way that makes sense and is justified beyond all doubt, Toy Story 4 will be seen as a cash grab from a studio that made its sterling reputation by conditioning its audience to expect much more. No one wants Pixar to dip back into the well solely to make money off Woody’s and Buzz Lightyear’s iconic mugs. The Toy Story trilogy has defined many peoples’ childhoods — and many adulthoods as well. Grown men wept in theaters because of Toy Story 3. No one wants that sort of cinematic magic to be retroactively undone by a corporate quest for bigger bucks. Luckily, if Tim Allen has anything to say about it, it looks like we’re in for a worthy fourth installment.

Star Wars: Episode 9

Disney tapped a box office bonanza when it bought Lucasfilm from Star Wars creator George Lucas, but it also shouldered the weight of some of the heaviest expectations any franchise has ever faced. For the most part, things have gone pretty well — The Force Awakens started a new trilogy in style, and the first “anthology” effort, Rogue One, proved these movies could work just as well on a smaller scale by delving into unexplored corners of the canon.

It would be disingenuous to ignore the ups and downs the studio’s also faced along the way, however. The Last Jedi was a critical hit that brought in an impressive sum, but it was also infamously divisive among fans; just a few months later, the anthology outing Solo: A Star Wars Story emerged from a troubled production to lukewarm reviews and disappointing ticket sales.

All of which is to say that with the still publicly untitled Episode IX, the franchise — and director J.J. Abrams, returning after taking a one-chapter hiatus following The Force Awakens — faces a ton of responsibility. Not only will the pundits be waiting to see whether this chapter can reunite the fanbase, it also has to tie up the Skywalker saga and pave the way for the next trilogy to follow. If it stumbles, the future of this once unstoppable series will no doubt be called into question.

The New Mutants

The New Mutants has a couple of things to prove, including the studio’s assurances that it’ll eventually come out. It’s suffered repeated delays and various troubling rumors — and if or when it does arrive, everyone will be trying to spot the seams while deciding whether the end result lives up to what’s being billed as a superhero horror film.

We’ve already seen the genre prove it can pull off comedy, thanks to Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy, but we’ve yet to see a superhero movie go full-on horror. Rumor has it that New Mutants is eyeballing R-rated territory, and if this ends up being the case, it’ll be a crucial test for just how far filmmakers are able to push the limits of moves about our favorite costumed crimefighters. Even if it forgoes an R rating, that just makes its job of delivering effective horror even harder. Can this be another X-Men spinoff to nail a new genre hybrid concept, or is this destined to be nothing more than millions of dollars being funneled down the drain?

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

If there’s one thing that divided fans with 2014’s Godzilla, one thing this sequel needs to get right, it’s the amount of screentime the movie’s titular character receives. Last time, Godzilla had a glorified eight-minute cameo in his own picture. That’s not how it should be.

Will Godzilla: King of the Monsters repeat the last movie’s mistake of spending more time on the “enemy” kaiju and boring humans instead of on its badass, jumbo-size lizard protagonist? Who knows. King of the Monsters’ trailer shows new human characters, a ton of cool, classic kaiju that’ll likely steal lots of screentime, and a general lack of the big guy himself, outside of a few choice shots. Hopefully this trailer was edited just to set up the movie’s premise and stakes, and the full film will feature a much better ratio of Godzilla-to-everything-else. We’ll see, though; maybe the filmmakers are hellbent on the “less is more” mentality. And maybe they can even make that work this time around — they’ll have to, if they want to effectively ramp up anticipation for the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong picture due to arrive in 2020.

The Joker

As a result of DC’s and Warner Bros.’ continued scramble to find a cinematic approach that works, they’ve called upon Joaquin Phoenix to reimagine DC’s greatest villain. Is it a gamble, casting him in a movie entirely about the clown prince of crime that’s being directed by the guy who helmed three very hit-or-miss drunken roadtrip comedies? Maybe. But it’s one WB and DC are okay with making, after having tried the traditional route with Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad, and Justice League.

Still, even though it’s good to see studios taking superhero risks, this one is especially high-stakes. It could sink their line of one-off spinoff movies before it even begins. There’s the very real risk that people simply won’t like this Joker at all, damaging their flagship villain’s public image, on top of the damage it’d do to the companies’ other fledgling spinoff plans. This all assumes they don’t just cop out with another thinly veiled antihero movie, à la Suicide Squad. Doing this movie right is going to be like navigating a minefield, and one bomb could be fatal.

Terminator 6

The Terminator movies haven’t been doing well for quite some time. The series’ reputation has been in decline with every movie after Terminator 2, and it hit a new nadir with Terminator: Genisys. Fans of the classic movies have decried these not-so-hot sequels quite vocally, though the recent outings’ woeful box office hauls probably spoke even louder to the studio execs in charge. Between critical discontent and disappointing financial figures, the Terminator franchise hangs in the balance. Can the creative team currently at the reins make it work, or is the series destined to remain an icon of the ’80s?

That’s the question dangling over the upcoming Terminator outing, which has been saddled with the responsibility of saving the franchise from itself. That’s not an easy cross to bear — especially when you consider the torturously tangled timeline that’s been woven around this saga over the last few sequels and/or reboot attempts. Hopefully the trailers — and the movie itself, when it eventually comes out — represent a solid rebound and provide us with an action blockbuster that saves its franchise from extinction.

Johnny Depp has finally broken his silence on the controversy surrounding his involvement in the Fantastic Beasts film franchise, particularly his casting as the title villain in the upcoming sequel Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

At the end of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, it was revealed that the sinister dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald was actually masquerading as Percival Graves, played by Colin Farrell, throughout the course of the movie. Fans were obviously taken back by the plot twist, but they were even more shocked by Depp’s presence. A few months prior to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opening in theaters in November 2016, Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard came forward with allegations of physical and emotional abuse against the actor. Shock quickly turned to outrage when fans learned in November 2017 that Depp would return as Grindelwald for the second Fantastic Beasts film.

Depp has remained quiet on the situation until now, addressing the controversy in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The actor shared with the outlet that he “felt bad” for Harry Potter novel series author and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald screenwriter J.K. Rowling, who has stood by the decision to feature Depp in the film. Depp also maintained his innocence regarding the abuse allegations.

“I’ll be honest with you, I felt bad for J.K. having to field all these various feelings from people out there. I felt bad that she had to take that. But ultimately, there is real controversy. The fact remains I was falsely accused, which is why I’m suing the Sun newspaper for defamation for repeating false accusations,” said Depp. “J.K. has seen the evidence and therefore knows I was falsely accused, and that’s why she has publicly supported me. She doesn’t take things lightly. She would not stand up if she didn’t know the truth. So that’s really it.”

Depp then added that there are a “couple of things” that he wants Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter fans to know. While he aims to remain true to his own interpretation of Grindelwald, Depp stated that he is completely loyal to Rowling and director David Yates, and knows that he has an immense responsibility to give fans a well-rounded performance.

“I feel like the main thing as an actor is your loyalty. It’s my job to enforce the author’s vision and also be true to the director’s vision. And then there’s being true to my vision. It’s a major responsibility, being handed the keys to this car,” Depp shared. “My intense loyalty is to not just J.K. and David Yates but to the people who go and see the films as well, the people who have invested their lives into this magnificent, incredible world J.K. has created. I went full tilt and headfirst into the character knowing the responsibility that I had. It’s good to take the audience on a ride they’re not necessarily expecting, yet with great respect to the world they’ve come to understand and know.”

Continued Depp, “The Potter fans are like scholars of this stuff, which I find incredibly impressive. They know that world inside and out. I hope to give them something they haven’t seen before.”

As mentioned before, Rowling is in full support of Depp starring in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The author released a statement in December 2017, in which she stated in part, “Based on our understanding of the circumstances, the filmmakers and I are not only comfortable sticking with our original casting, but genuinely happy to have Johnny playing a major character in the movies … I’ve loved writing the first two screenplays and I can’t wait for fans to see The Crimes of Grindelwald. I accept that there will be those who are not satisfied with our choice of actor in the title role. However, conscience isn’t governable by committee. Within the fictional world and outside it, we all have to do what we believe to be the right thing.”
Director Yates also defended Depp, previously stating, “I can only tell you about the man I see every day: He’s full of decency and kindness, and that’s all I see. Whatever accusation was out there doesn’t tally with the kind of human being I’ve been working with.”

Despite the fact that both Rowling and Yates are happy that Depp is starring in The Crimes of Grindelwald, some fans are still planning to boycott the film. It’s unclear if the actor’s comments here will change their minds, or whether his involvement in the sequel will impact how it performs at the box office.

29 Million Facebook Accounts have been accessed personal details by Facebook Hackers

Yes, Facebook originally said 50 million accounts were improperly accessed.

In September, a group of hackers used a flaw in Facebook’s “view as” feature to gain unauthorized access to millions of accounts — and today, the company released its most comprehensive statement yet on exactly what data was taken as part of the breach.

According to today’s statement, the hackers stole access tokens for 30 million accounts (revised down from an initial estimate of 50 million), allowing them to gain complete access to the profiles. Of those 30 million, the hackers accessed basic contact information (name and either email or phone number) for 14 million accounts, and additional information including gender, religion, location, device information, and the 15 most recent searches for another 15 million accounts. No information was accessed for the remaining one million accounts.

THE FBI IS ACTIVELY INVESTIGATING THE HACK

“We take these incidents really, really seriously,” said Guy Rosen, Facebook’s vice president of product management, told reporters in a call afterwards.

Facebook has pledged to notify all 30 million users through the Help Center in the coming days. Crucially, Facebook said no data was taken from third-party apps linked to the accounts, including Facebook products like Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. At the same time, there may have been smaller but more invasive attacks during the same period that have yet to be uncovered by Facebook’s investigation. There’s also no indication that the hackers posted any content while logged in.

The statement also gives new detail into the timeline of the attack. The first spike of activity registered on September 14th, but it wasn’t until 11 days later that Facebook identified the activity as a malicious attack. The vulnerability was closed two days later and reported to users and privacy officials in accordance with the GDPR and other breach disclosure laws.

Facebook also confirmed that the FBI is actively investigating the hack, but declined to give further details, saying the bureau had “asked us not to discuss who may be behind this attack.” Because of the nature of the “View As” bug, it is likely that Facebook has significant knowledge of the accounts where the attack originated, if not the perpetrators themselves.

Living in Portland means I am kept abreast of the latest in vegan cuisine (whether I like it or not) and the current “it” protein is the soy curl, or “texturized vegetable protein,” which has actually been available in Asian supermarkets for some time now. TVP doesn’t have a ton of flavor on its own, but it has a great texture, and it absorbs whatever flavorful liquid you rehydrate it in with much gusto. I used a teaspoon of Better Than Bouillon in half a cup of water, but you can use some other concentrated stock if you like, just keep in mind that you may have to add a little more salt.

When TVP is combined with chickpeas, you get a nice savory nug that’s somewhere in between a straight-up soy curl and falafel. Aquafaba—the liquid inside the chickpea can—acts as an egg-like binder, and just a bit of flour holds everything together. To make your own chickenless nuggets, you will need:

1 can of chickpeas + 1/4 cup of the liquid from the can
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
10 grinds of fresh pepper
1/2 cup texturized vegetable protein
1/2 cup hot water
1 teaspoon No-Chicken Better Than Bouillon
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup panko bread crumbs
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Fresh pepper to taste
Cayenne to taste (optional)

Pour the quarter cup of chickpea liquid from the can and set it aside. Drain the rest of the liquid away—reserve it for another use—and blend the chickpeas in the food processor with the garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper until smooth. Set aside. Place the vegetable protein in a bowl, dissolve the Better Than Bouillon in the hot water, and pour it over the protein. Let that sit for 10 minutes, then stir in the chickpea mush. Beat the chickpea liquid until it’s frothy, then stir it into everything else, along with the flour and soy sauce.
